CrossFit for Duty Contest winner Lindsay Pedersen checked-in with us this past week and shared her workout program goals. She's very excited to start her journey and describes how difficult it can be performing basic first responder tasks being overweight and out of shape.

I think this next 90 days will honestly really transform my life. I have been so unhealthy and out of shape for so long now. I have so many goals and things I want to do with my life, and my weight really holds me back. I would LOVE to take the civil service exam and PASS. I would like to be able to extricate or stair chair a patient and not feel like I'm going to die. Previously I would avoid being on the truck at all costs, even putting my turn out gear on was a task, never mind putting a pack on or actually doing anything in gear. Ultimately, I want to feel comfortable in my skin and be healthy.
